Summary: This article describes the setting required to save a PDF file format from CATIA that will allow headers, footers and watermarks to be created in Adobe Acrobat.

Follow these steps to apply settings for PDF creation (see image below):

1) Tools + Options… from the pull down menu
2) Expand the General tree branch
3) Under General select Compatibility
4) Select the Graphic Formats tab
5) Select PDF
6) Select the Configuration button
7) Select Discretize All Fonts
8) Select OK, and OK in the main Options window

The save as PDF will now read into Acrobat 9 and allow headers, footers and watermarks to be created.
