How do you use the Set last revision function in the Import Tool to maintain revision history of the imported objects?

How do you use the Set last revision function in the Import Tool to maintain revision history of the imported objects?


What needs to be done in order for the ‘Set last revision’ function to work is set State to Checked In or Released for the imported objects.

So set a Fixed value for State to 1 or 3.  1 should be Checked In and 3 should be Released.

Then run the import.

If you want the State to be New then you can then run the Import again in Update mode and set State to 0.  That should update the records that were just imported and only update the State to New and it will retain the revision history that was created during the initial import done in Add mode.
